Pinky wins second place in World’s Ugliest Dog Contest

Pinky, an 11-year-old albino Pomeranian/Chihuahua mix from Redwood City, won second place in the 2026 World’s Ugliest Dog Contest held on August 14.

Owned by Laura Brown and Ronald Cheng, Pinky was adopted five years ago from the local organization Pets in Need. Due to albinism and previous mange, the dog has patchy fur, sensitive pink skin, and a appearance that owners say often leads people to mistake him for a pig. His owners entered him in the annual competition for fun and expressed surprise at his placement.
