Pino Daniele's musical legacy honored through new tour and cover
The musical legacy of late Italian artist Pino Daniele is being celebrated through both theatrical and recording projects. Nello Daniele, Pino’s brother and musical collaborator, is embarking on a theatrical tour titled ‘Daniele racconta Daniele’. The tour, which includes stops in Milan, Turin, Taranto, Rome, and Naples, aims to explore the life and influences of the musician, from the streets of 1970s Naples to the blues influences found at Club Marocco.
In a separate tribute, singer Laura Pausini has released a Portuguese-language version of the Pino Daniele classic ‘Quanno chiove’, titled ‘Quando Chove’. The track features a duet with Brazilian singer Sandy and is part of Pausini’s ‘Io canto 2’ project. The collaboration serves as a cultural bridge between Naples and Brazil, reimagining the 1980 song for an international audience.
