Italian wine and artisanal sectors report regional growth and international expansion

Various developments are shaping the Italian wine and artisanal sectors. The DoctorWine Essential Guide 2027 is preparing to release its reviews, covering thousands of products from over 1,300 companies.

In international promotion, the Consorzio Pinot Grigio DOC Delle Venezie is hosting a media lunch and masterclass in Montréal, Canada, on September 15. Organized with the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Canada, the event links wine tasting with cycling tourism ahead of the 2026 UCI Road World Championships.

Regional data shows significant growth for DOC Etna, which has seen a 711% increase in certifications between 2012 and 2025. Meanwhile, the Cinque Terre region will host ‘I Vini dell’Amore’ on October 3, featuring 24 producers along the Via dell’Amore.
