Pio Latino Americano College installs new Rector in Rome

Father Víctor Marciano Martínez Morales, a Colombian national, has officially taken office as the new Rector of the Pontificio Colegio Pio Latino Americano y Superior in Rome. The installation ceremony was presided over by Father General Arturo Sosa, S.J.

Auxiliary Bishop Amauri Rosario represented the Archdiocese of Santiago de los Caballeros and the Dominican Republic at the Eucharistic celebration. He was accompanied by Bishop Manuel Ruiz of the Stella Maris Diocese. Both leaders are currently in Rome participating in an annual training course for new bishops.

Founded in 1858, the Jesuit-run institution serves as a key academic and formative center for Latin American seminarians and priests, specializing in theology, philosophy, and pastoral studies in close coordination with the Holy See.
