Piobbico to host Palio dei Brancaleoni historical reenactment

The town of Piobbico in the Marche region of Italy will host the Palio dei Brancaleoni from August 20 to 23, 2026. This historical reenactment, which originated in 1967, aims to bring the town's past to life through various community events.

The festivities include guided theatrical tours of the Brancaleoni residence, a Renaissance banquet, and a historical market with artisan stalls. Activities also feature botanical visits, juggling workshops, and a procession of captains and knights. The event schedule includes trekking on Monte Nerone and the 'Contesa della Pannocchia' at the Mineral Water Park, concluding with a proclamation ceremony at the castle.
