Pioltello center-right groups propose Milan red zone

Center-right political groups in Pioltello, including Fratelli d’Italia, Lega, and Forza Italia, have filed a motion to request that the Prefecture of Milan establish a ‘red zone’ in the most critical areas of the municipality.

The proposal aims to combat long-standing issues such as drug dealing, disturbances of the peace, illegal immigration, and unauthorized occupations. Under the requested red zone designation, law enforcement would receive additional powers, including the ability to immediately remove individuals with criminal records for 48 hours or implement enhanced urban expulsion orders (Daspo urbano).

These specialized urban zones are designed to address areas experiencing high levels of violence, degradation, and crimes against persons or property. The designation can last for a maximum of six months and is renewable for up to 18 months.
