Pioltello: Man shot in chest inside home during courtyard gunfire

A 48-year-old man was shot in the chest inside his home in Pioltello, near Milan, after four shots were fired from a building courtyard. The victim, originally from Egypt, was near a window in his apartment when the incident occurred. He was transported to San Raffaele Hospital in critical condition, though his life is not believed to be in danger.

Investigators are examining several motives, including personal disputes, drug trafficking, or the possibility that the victim was hit by mistake. Authorities are also looking into whether the intended target was actually the victim's son, who has been under house arrest since January. Carabinieri are currently conducting forensic investigations to identify the shooter.
