Pioneer launches retro-style car audio Heritage Collection

Pioneer is introducing its Heritage Collection to the US market, featuring audio equipment designed to mimic 1980s aesthetics while providing modern connectivity. The lineup includes the SXT-C10PS single-DIN head unit and the TS-X40SXT box speakers.

The SXT-C10PS receiver features a cassette-deck faceplate, but the tape door opens to reveal modern USB ports and Bluetooth capabilities. Priced at $499, the unit is intended for drivers who want to upgrade older vehicle interiors without the visual disruption of large modern screens.

The TS-X40SXT speakers are designed as surface-mount solutions to avoid cutting into original vehicle components like door panels or parcel shelves. These 3-way systems utilize cellulose fiber membranes and a bass-reflex housing, drawing visual inspiration from the Pioneer TS-X60 model from 1984. The speaker pair is priced at $300.

Availability for US buyers is expected by November 2, with orders facilitated through RADwood.
