Pioneerwork launches ZAG for Excel AI tool for retail data

Pioneerwork has officially launched ‘ZAG for Excel’, an AI-powered add-in tool designed to automate the extraction of product data from catalogs and specification documents (PDFs, images, or Excel files) into specific retail templates.

The tool addresses the manual burden faced by manufacturers and suppliers who must navigate complex, retailer-specific Excel formats containing hundreds of columns and strict entry rules. Unlike general-purpose AI tools, ZAG for Excel is specialized to handle complex Japanese layouts and ensure data adheres to specific retailer constraints, such as character limits and category dependencies.

Initial support is available for the product registration formats used by Bic Camera and Yodobashi Camera. The company plans to expand support to other retailers including Yamada Denki, K's Denki, Amazon, Rakuten Ichiba, and MonotaRO. A 14-day free trial is currently available for relevant suppliers.
