Piotr Borys appointed CEO of Centralny Port Komunikacyjny
The Supervisory Board of Centralny Port Komunikacyjny (CPK) has appointed Piotr Borys as the new President of the Management Board. Borys, a civil engineer and experienced manager, previously led the Railway Subprogram within the company.
His professional background includes extensive experience in managing large-scale infrastructure projects, including those co-financed by the European Union. He held various managerial roles at PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe, where he contributed to the introduction of 200 km/h train speeds in Poland and supervised the railway connection to Warsaw Chopin Airport for Euro 2012.
Borys stated that the Port Polska project is a “commitment, also to future generations,” and expressed his goal to manage the company efficiently. He identified the primary challenges for the coming year as beginning the foundation process for the terminal and constructing the railway tunnel in Łódź. The company aims to complete the airport in Baranów by 2032, though Borys noted the complexity and variables of such a large-scale project.
