Italy hosts diverse autumn festivals for gastronomy and culture

Italy is hosting a wide array of seasonal festivals throughout October, focusing heavily on gastronomy, culture, and local traditions. A major highlight is the white truffle season, featuring the 96th International Alba White Truffle Fair starting October 10, and the 29th edition of the truffle fair in Pergola, where prices are reaching approximately 1,800 euros per kilogram.

Regional culinary events include the 46th Ottobrata Zafferanese in Sicily, celebrating Etna's agricultural excellence, and the 26th Rapulè Fair in Calosso. Other notable food-centric gatherings include the 32nd White Truffle Fair in Borgofranco sul Po and the Sagra delle Tacchie ai Funghi Porcini in Bellegra.

Cultural and artistic programs are also widespread. The BorgoIndie 2026 festival spans six Romagna municipalities, blending art and sound with gastronomy. In Cesena, the “La bellezza delle parole” literary festival will showcase contemporary Italian authors, while the Trento Film Festival continues its mountain cinema screenings in Bolzano. Additionally, the “Nutrimenti” festival in Rotonda integrates theater and nature, and the “Terre del Bianco” project in Asti unifies nine truffle-related fairs across the Monferrato region.
