PIP Makassar to host 10.5K run for 105th anniversary

Politeknik Ilmu Pelayaran (PIP) Makassar is organizing the PIP Makassar Run 10,5K, scheduled for Sunday, October 11, 2026. The event is a central part of the institution's 105th Dies Natalis celebrations and is held under the theme “Running With Passion, Sailing With Pride”.

The race will start and finish at PIP Makassar Campus II in Salodong, with a route connected to the Summarecon Mutiara Makassar area. Organizers aim to attract 1,500 participants, noting that approximately 500 people had registered as of early September 2026.

Participants can enter three categories: Open (ages 12 and up), Master (ages 45 and up), and Student (ages 12 to 17). Registration fees are Rp250,000 for the Open and Master categories and Rp150,000 for the Student category. Participants will receive a BIB, official jersey, tote bag, and a medal, with opportunities to win prizes including Umrah trips.
