Pippa Fennis and David Beckles win ITF J60 titles in Accra

The ITF J60 Accra tournament at the National Tennis Centre in the Accra Sports Stadium has concluded, marking another successful event for the junior tennis circuit in Ghana.

In the boys’ singles category, American David Beckles secured the championship after defeating France’s Antoine Baudot in the final. Beckles has previously won a J60 event in Accra, defeating local favorite Raphael Nii Nortei Dowuona.

In the girls’ singles, Pippa Fennis of the Netherlands successfully defended her title. Fennis won the final against South Korea’s Jiwon Hwang with a score of 6-3, 6-1, completing her campaign without dropping a set in the deciding match. This victory marks Fennis’s second consecutive J60 girls’ singles title at the Accra venue.

The tournament was held in partnership with the Ghana Tennis Federation and Tennis Foundation Ghana to establish the region as a hub for international junior competition.
