Piraeus hosts prostate cancer awareness seminar

The Europa Uomo Hellas Panhellenic Association for Prostate Cancer, in collaboration with the Municipality of Piraeus, held an informative seminar titled “Prostate Cancer: The Importance of Early Diagnosis” at the Piraeus Municipal Art Gallery. The event marked the beginning of Movember, a month dedicated to men's health awareness.

Medical professionals, including representatives from the General Anticancer Hospital of Piraeus “Metaxa” and the Hellenic Urological Society, presented on risk factors, modern diagnostic capabilities, and therapeutic options. Discussions focused on the necessity of early detection, patient care, and maintaining quality of life. The seminar included presentations on the daily realities of living with the disease and concluded with an open discussion to provide the public with reliable scientific information.
