Piraeus Municipality conducts infrastructure and facility upgrades

The Municipality of Piraeus has initiated several interventions to improve public spaces and municipal infrastructure. As part of these efforts, authorities removed an inactive robotic waste collection and compression system, known as the “palm-bin,” from Pasalimani to free up public space. A similar structure is scheduled for removal from the intersection of Vasileos Georgiou and Karaiskou streets in the coming days.

Additionally, the municipality has completed maintenance work at the P. Salpea Indoor Gymnasium. This included replacing all ceiling lighting fixtures to improve conditions for athletes and citizens. Further functional improvements to the facility are planned for the near future.
