Pirarucu Fair to sell sustainable fish in Manaus

The Pirarucu Fair will take place this Saturday, September 19, in Manaus, featuring approximately 5 tons of fresh fish from the Mamirauá Sustainable Development Reserve. The event will be held at the Fundação Amazônia Sustentável (FAS) headquarters.

The fish is produced by managers from the Mapurilândia community in the municipality of Fonte Boa, Amazonas. The sale aims to support sustainable management in conservation units and generate income for 22 cooperative members.

Available cuts include carcass (R$ 8.00/kg), belly (R$ 15/kg), manta (R$ 22.00/kg), and fillet (R$ 32/kg), with heads priced at R$ 12.00 per unit.
