Pisa Airport: Albanian man repatriated after using fake Bulgarian passport

An Albanian citizen was arrested and repatriated after attempting to pass through border controls at Pisa's Galileo Galilei Airport using a forged Bulgarian passport. The individual, who was irregularly present in Italy, intended to use the false identity to claim European Union privileges and travel to another EU member state.

The attempt was detected by the Pisa Air Border Police on Sunday, September 27. Following investigations that confirmed his true identity, the man was arrested for the possession and manufacture of false identification documents valid for export.

Coordinated efforts between the Air Border Police and the Pisa Immigration Office led to a rapid administrative process. After receiving validation from the Justice of the Peace of Pisa, the man was repatriated to Albania via a flight departing from Pisa on Tuesday, September 29.
