Pisa Book Festival features Luca Paoli and Paesi Edizioni debut

The 24th edition of the Pisa Book Festival is scheduled to take place from October 2 to 4 at the Arsenali Repubblicani and various cultural sites in Pisa. The event features a diverse range of literary and geopolitical discussions.

Writer Luca Paoli will participate on October 3 at Torre Guelfa, invited by the publisher Ibiskos. Paoli, who is transitioning from poetry to noir fiction, will recite verses during a presentation of Rina Gambini’s work. His upcoming novel, ‘Prima che arrivi l’alba’, is slated for 2026.

Paesi Edizioni will make its debut at the festival with a focus on history and geopolitics. Scheduled events include a discussion on Margherita Sarfatti’s work regarding Mussolini and a session on geopolitical cities featuring authors discussing Sarajevo and Pyongyang. Additionally, Yarina Grusha, author of ‘Kharkiv’, will hold a book signing, coinciding with Ukraine’s role as a guest country for this edition of the festival.
