Pisa Book Festival celebrates independent publishing and Ukrainian culture
The 24th edition of the Pisa Book Festival, a salon dedicated to independent publishing, is taking place at the Arsenali Repubblicani and various locations throughout Pisa. The event features a diverse program covering international literature, history, artificial intelligence, education, and sports.
Ukraine is the guest country for this edition. The festival includes specific sessions dedicated to Ukrainian culture, such as presentations by Elena Kostioukovitch and Yaryna Grusha. Other historical sessions explore the origins of Ukrainian civilization and its relationship with medieval Europe.
Key programming includes tributes to Nobel laureate Grazia Deledda and appearances by notable authors such as Piergiorgio Pulixi and Giancarlo De Cataldo. Discussions also address contemporary issues, including the impact of artificial intelligence and international trade tensions.
