Pisa extends deadline for 2026 rent subsidy applications

The Municipality of Pisa has extended the deadline for submitting applications for rent supplement contributions for the year 2026. The new deadline is Tuesday, September 15, at 11:59 PM.

A total of 777,000 euros has been allocated for this measure, consisting of 694,000 euros from the municipal budget and 83,000 euros from regional transfers. The benefit is intended to cover the period from January 1, 2026, or the effective start date of the lease, until December 31, 2026.

To qualify, applicants must hold a regularly registered lease for a property used as a primary residence within the municipal territory. Eligible applicants include Italian citizens, EU citizens, and non-EU citizens with a valid long-term residence permit. Financial requirements include an ISEE value not exceeding 16,500 euros and an ISE value not exceeding 32,724.49 euros. Additionally, movable assets must not exceed 25,000 euros, and total assets must not exceed 40,000 euros.

Public or subsidized housing contracts are excluded from this program. Furthermore, applicants and their family members must not hold ownership, usufruct, or usage rights to other suitable properties within 50 kilometers of Pisa or properties with a combined IMU/IVIE value exceeding 25,000 euros.
