Pisa hosts 14th Terre di Pisa Food & Wine Festival
The 14th edition of the Terre di Pisa Food & Wine Festival has opened in Pisa, transforming the city into a culinary hub through October 18. The event features 87 producers and five consortia, with a central focus on ‘Arte Bianca’ (white flour arts), environmental sustainability, and the fight against food waste.
During the inauguration at Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II, authorities unveiled a commemorative plaque at Palazzo Affari, dedicating the extra virgin olive oil tasting panel room to the memory of Luciano Scarselli. Valter Tamburini, president of the North-West Tuscany Chamber of Commerce, emphasized the festival's role in supporting the local productive fabric and driving regional development.
The festival includes various activities such as masterclasses, wine tastings for local labels like DOC Montescudaio, and unique food pairings. A highlight of the event was the ‘Terre di Pisa Cecina Contest 2026’, where Pizzeria Nando of Pisa was crowned the winner for the best cecina, judged by both a technical expert panel and a popular jury of 60 enthusiasts.
