Unicoop Firenze and Legambiente Toscana launch environmental culture pact

Unicoop Firenze and Legambiente Toscana have launched the ‘Patto per la cultura ambientale’ (Pact for Environmental Culture), a pilot project aimed at protecting the territory through education and community involvement. The initiative seeks to build a stable network between local associations and the community, focusing on scientific and educational expertise to engage younger generations.

The program, which runs until early 2027, includes guided tours, scientific meetings, wetland explorations, and volunteer activities dedicated to biodiversity, risk prevention, and sustainable resource management. The Bosco di Montopoli, an area recovered from former industrial use, will serve as a central location for these activities, including family-oriented guided tours scheduled for late 2026 and early 2027.

Representatives from various organizations, including the Mayor of Montopoli in Val d’Arno, Linda Vanni, participated in the presentation. The pact remains open to other local entities that share its values and wish to propose new environmental actions.
