The Golden Steak grill masters butchers championship Pisa events Italian gastronomy

The seventh edition of ‘The Golden Steak’, an Italian championship dedicated to bone-in steak cooking, will take place in Pisa on September 19 and 20. Held in Piazza dei Cavalieri, the event features Italy’s top grill masters and butchers competing for the ‘Golden Cleaver’ trophy.

Organized by Confcommercio Pisa and FederCarni Toscana, the competition includes three specific categories: costata, real tomahawk, and bone-in fillet steak. The finalists will compete using a giant eight-station grill after months of national selections.

In addition to the main competition, the event showcases local Tuscan products, including meats, cured meats, wines from the Consorzio Vini Doc Terre di Pisa, and various local artisanal foods and beverages.
