Pistoia approves 2026 supplementary water service bonuses

The Municipality of Pistoia has approved the ranking list for the 2026 supplementary water service bonuses. This local initiative is designed to complement the national water bonus, providing additional financial relief to families facing economic hardship.

Sandro Giannessi, the assessor for social inclusion policies, stated that the bonus aims to ensure greater equity in accessing essential services. The municipal administration prepared the rankings after analyzing applications and acquiring necessary data from Publiacqua.

The bonus will be applied as a deduction by Publiacqua on the first available invoice. According to regional regulations, the supplementary amount cannot exceed the total gross expenditure from the previous year minus the national bonus. If the national bonus already covers the 2025 gross expenditure, the supplementary municipal bonus will be zero.
