Pistoia mourns the death of 31-year-old Sara Memisha

Sara Memisha, a 31-year-old woman from Pistoia, has passed away following a three-year battle with a long-term illness. Her death has caused significant emotion within the Pistoia community, where her family is well known.

Memisha, who was of Albanian descent, held a master's degree in Economics from the University of Turin and had worked alongside her mother, Leonora Jaupi, at a service center for foreign citizens. She had recently married her longtime partner, Alex Marraccini, whom she met during high school.

During her illness, she received medical care at the Santa Chiara Hospital in Pisa and subsequently at Cisanello, where she underwent innovative treatments. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the oncology department of the Santa Chiara Hospital in Pisa.
