PIT-RADWAR begins modernization of Czernica defense plant

PIT-RADWAR, a state-owned Polish radar manufacturer, has signed a contract with Grupa KDM to begin the first phase of modernizing its facility in Czernica. This initial stage is valued at approximately 21 million PLN (excluding taxes) and focuses on construction and modernization work across most of the plant's production buildings.

The total investment for the modernization project is estimated at roughly 90 million PLN (approximately 23 million USD). This expansion aims to enhance the site's production, research, assembly, and quality control capabilities, specifically supporting Poland's new anti-UAV programs and tactical communication systems.

The Czernica plant, formerly known as Military Communications Plant No. 2, was integrated into PIT-RADWAR earlier this year. The facility plays a strategic role in assembling communication elements for 18 battery modules of anti-aircraft systems and serves as a key partner for the U.S.-based company L3Harris.
