Pitalito Geisha coffee sells for US$90 per pound
A Geisha coffee produced in Pitalito, Huila, reached a sale price of US$90 per pound during the Huila Hunt 2026 auction at the International Coffee, Cocoa, and Agrotourism Fair (FICCA 2026).
Produced by Víctor Félix Ramírez Cruz at Finca La Fortuna, the lot received a score of 92.80 points on the Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) scale. The washed process coffee was noted by tasters for its sensory attributes, including notes of peach, jasmine, and panela, along with a silky body.
The 100-kilogram nano-lot was purchased by Johan Manuel Cerquera of Brupal Coffee Quality, alongside three other entrepreneurs. The high valuation highlights the market potential for high-quality specialty coffee produced in the Huila region.
