Pitbull Attack Injures Teen in Ciudad Juárez

A 16‑year‑old teenager was injured after a pitbull attacked him on a sidewalk in the Portal del Roble neighborhood of Ciudad Juárez on Sunday night. Neighbors rescued the boy and pulled the dog away, and volunteer paramedics provided first aid before he was taken to hospital.

Residents said the same dog had previously knocked down an elderly person months earlier. Animal‑control officers from the Department of Animal Care and Welfare (DABA) visited the owners' home on Portal del Moro 1856 the following morning, but the owners were not present. DABA left a summons for the owners to appear on 23 June for a professional evaluation of the dog.
