Multiple regions report severe injuries following pitbull attacks
Multiple violent dog attacks involving pitbulls and large breeds have been reported across Argentina, Honduras, and France, sparking concerns over public safety and animal control.
In Villa Allende, Argentina, an 82-year-old woman was seriously injured, suffering a femur fracture and severe leg wounds after being attacked by a pitbull. Neighbors intervened to stop the attack, resulting in the death of the animal. The dog had a documented history of aggression in 2024, having previously attacked a neighbor and its owner before being returned to its owners by judicial order.
In Honduras, several incidents have occurred. In La Ceiba, a 66-year-old man was hospitalized after being attacked by three pitbulls; local authorities have initiated proceedings against the owner. In San Pedro Sula, an 11-year-old girl remains hospitalized after a pitbull attack, while her family calls for investigations.
In France, a 92-year-old woman was airlifted to a hospital after being attacked by four Mastiffs in the Bas-Rhin region. Authorities seized 13 dogs from the property of a resident following the incident.
