Pitbull attacks man in Arraial d’Ajuda after escaping car following accident

A man was injured after being attacked by a pitbull in Arraial d’Ajuda, a district of Porto Seguro in Bahia, following a traffic collision on September 4. Security footage captured the incident, which began when a car involved in a collision was left with an open door.

The dog escaped the vehicle, crossed the street, and attacked a man standing on the shoulder of the road. The victim, who was not involved in the traffic accident, was caught by surprise and fell to the ground while attempting to defend himself.

After the dog's owner intervened to restrain the animal, the driver reportedly left the scene without providing assistance to the injured man or communicating with the owner of the other vehicle involved in the accident. The victim sustained injuries to his feet and legs but is reported to be doing well. According to family members, the victim has decided not to file an official police report.
