The planned Pitbull concert in Riga was called off after organizers raised safety concerns about the stage structure. Representative Girts Majors said the issues surfaced only a few hours before the public announcement and that the stage equipment was subsequently dismantled safely.

Latvian consumer‑rights body PTAC clarified that ticket holders are not obliged to accept an alternative event; they may request a refund, which the organizer must process within 14 days of the request. Organizers offered tickets to a Kalvin Haris concert as a possible substitute.

On the day of the cancellation, fans gathered in Mežaparks, later moving to the Kimmel quarter and other venues. Police warned that public gatherings were prohibited in Mežaparks and central Riga during the incident.
