Pitbull Riga concert cancellation stage safety ticket refunds Calvin Harris exchange

The Pitbull concert scheduled for 29 July 2026 at Mežaparks in Riga was cancelled less than 24 hours before it was due to start because technical problems with the stage could not be resolved safely. Organiser Live Nation announced the cancellation and said ticket holders would be contacted by e‑mail.

More than 40 000 tickets had been sold. Latvian Minister of Economy Viktors Valainis met with the organisers and the Consumer‑Rights Protection Centre (PTAC) to discuss the situation. PTAC later confirmed that a detailed refund process would be provided within two days and that ticket owners could either receive a refund or exchange their tickets for the Calvin Harris concert set for 6 August 2026 at the same venue.

Latvian State Police warned fans against unauthorised gatherings and deployed additional officers near Mežaparks and central Riga. No new date for the Pitbull concert has been set, and fans remain upset over travel, accommodation and other costs.
