Pitbull recalls collaboration and memories of Dolly Parton

During a Q&A at Billboard’s Latin Music Week in Miami, rapper Pitbull shared memories of his collaboration with the late country music legend Dolly Parton. He recalled a humorous exchange where Parton referred to herself as ‘Miss Worldwide’ in response to his ‘Mr. Worldwide’ nickname.

The two artists collaborated in 2024 on the song ‘Powerful Women,’ which features a sample of Parton’s 1980 hit ‘9 to 5.’ Pitbull noted that they met in Nashville following their musical partnership.

Following Parton’s death on August 25 at age 80, Pitbull paid tribute to her during a performance at the Northwell at Jones Beach Theater in New York. He described her as a hardworking, intelligent, and powerful individual who had supported him throughout his career.
