Pitbulls Escape and Kill Stray Dog in Santo Antônio de Jesus, Bahia

On Sunday, 5 May, two pitbulls escaped from a house in the Maria Preta neighbourhood of Santo Antônio de Jesus, Bahia, and attacked a stray dog in a public street. Video footage shared on social media shows the male pitbull mauling the dog, which later died from its injuries.

The owner of the dogs said they jumped a window or left through a gate that only opens outward, suggesting they may have been let out inadvertently. He later reinforced the property’s security and said he is facing criticism online.
