Pitești and Baia Mare finish major road upgrades

In Pitești, the modernization of Dumbravei Street has entered its final phase. Mayor Cristian Gentea reported that sidewalk work is now complete and that asphalt paving will begin next week, bringing the project close to reopening for traffic.

In Baia Mare, the extension of Gării Street has been completed. Vice‑mayor Pap Zsolt Istvan said the new road, built from scratch, now includes wide sidewalks, two‑way bike lanes, parking spaces, drainage and modern lighting. Final road markings and tree planting are scheduled for the coming months, with an official opening expected in August.

Both projects were funded from local budgets and aim to improve traffic flow and safety for drivers and pedestrians in their respective cities.
