Pitești and Cugir begin citywide mosquito and tick control operations

The Municipality of Pitești announced a citywide insect‑control campaign for the night of 29–30 July 2026. Spraying will run from 22:00 to 06:00 using trucks that can reach up to 50 m, covering parks, streets, cemeteries and other public spaces. The biocide CypertoX Forte, approved by the Ministry of Health, will be applied, and residents are advised to avoid contact with the equipment and to follow safety instructions in case of accidental exposure.

In Cugir, the city hall scheduled a disinfection and de‑insectisation operation for 31 July 2026, starting at 21:00, in parks, playgrounds and public areas of Cugir and the nearby locality of Vinerea. The work, carried out by SC Derat Mouse SRL with nationally authorised biocide products, includes warnings for elderly, children, people with respiratory or cardiac conditions and for beekeepers. Access to the treated zones will be safe about two hours after application, and the public is asked to respect posted safety signs.
