Pitești hosts 20th annual Toamna Piteșteană autumn festival

The 20th edition of the “Toamna Piteșteană” festival begins on September 24 in Vasile Milea Square, Pitești. The event will run until October 11, transforming the city center with autumn-themed decorations including corn, sunflowers, and pumpkins.

Over 80 merchants and producers from Argeș and various other Romanian counties, such as Bihor, Sălaj, Alba, and Timiș, will participate. Visitors can find seasonal fruits, vegetables, traditional meat and dairy products, honey, preserves, flowers, and fruit trees. The festival also features a food truck zone and a traditional terrace.

Cultural activities include the “Tradiții muntenești” folklore show at the opening, featuring the “Doina Bascovului” Ensemble and Orchestra. Additionally, traditional craftsmen will hold open workshops during select weekends, and a Food Truck Festival will take place at the City Hall Square from September 24 to 27.
