The Dhvaj Temple, perched at about 2,000 metres in the border district of Pithoragarh, Uttarakhand, is dedicated to Lord Shiva and Mata Jayanthi. The temple, set amid Himalayan peaks and verdant hills, features an ancient cave shrine and is regarded for its positive energy.

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami shared a video of the site on X, describing it as a major centre of spiritual identity and unwavering faith. He noted that the temple attracts large crowds during Navratri and Mahashivratri, when extensive worship ceremonies and fairs are organised.

Visitors are drawn by the panoramic views of snow‑capped mountains and the belief that ancient sages once meditated there, adding to the location’s religious significance.
