Pittsburgh Panthers defeat UCF 12-7 in rainy defensive battle

The Pittsburgh Panthers defeated the UCF Golden Knights 12-7 at Acrisure Stadium in a defensive matchup played during a heavy downpour. The game was delayed for 65 minutes due to weather conditions.

Damon Ferguson Jr. provided the Panthers' only touchdown with a rushing score, finishing the game with 59 yards on 20 carries. Quarterback Mason Heintschel completed 18 of 29 passes for 212 yards.
