Pittsburgh Penguins host Winnipeg Jets in NHL matchup

The Winnipeg Jets visit the Pittsburgh Penguins at PPG Paints Arena on Monday, October 5, 2026. The Penguins enter the matchup with a 2-0-0 record, while the Jets hold a record of 1-0-1.

Key storylines include Evgeni Malkin attempting to become only the second 40-year-old in NHL history to score in each of his team’s first two games of a season. Defensively, Erik Karlsson maintains a high points-per-game average against the Jets, ranking second among all active defensemen.

The Jets recently secured a 3-2 victory against Detroit, led by two goals from Kyle Connor. The Penguins have shown strong offensive production, averaging 6.5 goals per game this season, though they are looking to maintain their early-season momentum.
