Pittsburgh Penguins to hold five 2026 NHL Draft picks and launch development camp

The Pittsburgh Penguins will have five selections in the 2026 NHL Draft, scheduled for June 27‑28 in Toronto. It is the first time since 2016 the franchise will own multiple early‑round picks, a strategy emphasized by general manager Ron Hextall to build roster depth.

The team also announced its 2026 Development Camp, which begins on Monday, June 29, at the UPMC Lemieux Complex and runs through Friday, July 3. The five‑day camp features on‑ice and off‑ice sessions open to the public at no charge. Prospects Jake Livanavage, Melvin Fernstrom and Gabriel D’Aigle have been named as the first invitees, with the full roster to be released after the draft.
