Pittsburgh Steelers sign veteran linebacker Elandon Roberts to one-year deal

The Pittsburgh Steelers have signed veteran linebacker Elandon Roberts to a one-year contract, marking a reunion for the 32-year-old who previously played for the team during the 2023 and 2024 seasons.

Roberts joins the defensive unit following a stint with the Las Vegas Raiders. The move also reunites him with Steelers defensive coordinator Patrick Graham, who served in the same role with the Raiders last season. Roberts is expected to provide veteran depth to a linebacker group that includes Patrick Queen, Payton Wilson, and Cole Holcomb.

Throughout his 10-year NFL career, which includes two Super Bowl titles with the New England Patriots, Roberts has recorded 694 tackles and 14.5 sacks. Due to roster availability, he is expected to wear number 57, as his previous number, 50, is currently held by Jamin Davis.
