Pittsburgh Steelers linked to top 2027 NFL Draft prospects
The Pittsburgh Steelers are being linked to several high-profile college prospects in early projections for the 2027 NFL Draft. As the team looks toward long-term roster building, analysts have identified key targets at both wide receiver and quarterback positions.
In a mock draft scenario, Texas wide receiver Cam Coleman has been projected as the 13th overall pick. Coleman, who transferred from Auburn, is noted for his size, speed, and ability to high-point the football. The Steelers have historically avoided using first-round picks on wide receivers, with their last selection in that position being Santonio Holmes in 2006.
Regarding the quarterback position, the Steelers are also monitoring the 2027 class to find a successor to Aaron Rodgers. Top collegiate prospects identified include Notre Dame’s CJ Carr, noted for his efficiency and poise, and University of Miami’s Darian Mensah, who has maintained a high completion percentage and touchdown-to-interception ratio through the early part of the season.
