Pittsburgh Steelers re-sign wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling

The Pittsburgh Steelers are set to re-sign veteran wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling to their practice squad. The move comes as the team faces significant depth issues due to multiple injuries in the receiving corps.

Wide receivers Roman Wilson (finger) and Michael Pittman Jr. (foot) have both been placed on injured reserve. Additionally, Ben Skowronek missed Week 5 with a calf injury. Valdes-Scantling, 31, previously played five games for the Steelers last season and has a prior connection with quarterback Aaron Rodgers, having played together with the Green Bay Packers from 2018 to 2021.

Valdes-Scantling was most recently released by the Los Angeles Chargers. He will join a wide receiver room that includes DK Metcalf, Germie Bernard, and Kaden Wetjen.
