Pittsburgh Steelers players show progress during training camp

During recent training camp sessions, several Pittsburgh Steelers players demonstrated significant progress. Rookie quarterback Drew Allar delivered what was described as his "best practice" of the summer, showcasing improved deep-ball mechanics and accuracy in 7-on-7 and full team drills. Allar credited veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers for helping him refine the trajectory of his throws.

On the offensive line, Broderick Jones showed improved pass protection during one-on-one drills. Meanwhile, wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. is increasing his involvement in the offense as he builds chemistry with Rodgers under Mike McCarthy's system.

Defensively, veteran Cam Heyward is focusing on mentoring younger linemen Yahya Black and Derrick Harmon. Heyward emphasized that both players must move past their rookie status to lead the defensive front. The defense also saw strong performances in situational drills, including an interception and touchdown return by Jamel Dean.
