NFL teams announce practice squad signings following roster cuts

Several NFL teams have finalized their practice squad rosters following preseason cuts.

The Pittsburgh Steelers signed 13 players to their practice squad, including running backs Lew Nichols and Travis Homer. Other additions include outside linebacker Bradyn Swinson, defensive back Car’lin Vigers, and wide receiver Brandon Johnson. The group also features players such as Sebastian Castro, Doneiko Slaughter, and Julius Welschoff, the latter of whom may qualify for a practice squad exemption via the International Player Pathway program.

The San Francisco 49ers added three players to their squad: Vincent Anthony Jr., Foster Sarell, and Kevin Givens, leaving one remaining spot open.

Additionally, the Washington Commanders signed former Steelers cornerback Darius Rush to their practice squad shortly after releasing him during roster cuts.
