Pittsburgh Steelers sign cornerback Sean Murphy-Bunting

The Pittsburgh Steelers have signed veteran cornerback Sean Murphy-Bunting to their active roster, poaching him from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' practice squad.

Murphy-Bunting, a Super Bowl LV champion with the Buccaneers, brings significant experience to the Steelers' secondary. He has appeared in 82 NFL games with 65 starts and 11 career interceptions. The move addresses critical depth issues in Pittsburgh following the trade of Joey Porter Jr. to the Dallas Cowboys and an ankle injury to Jamel Dean.

Murphy-Bunting previously played for the Tennessee Titans and the Arizona Cardinals. His addition provides a veteran option for the Steelers as they manage injuries within their defensive backfield.
