Piura health study identifies factors in gestational self-care
A study conducted at the Centro de Salud I-4 Castilla in Piura, Peru, has identified key factors influencing gestational self-care practices among pregnant women. The research, involving 200 participants, found that 63% of pregnant women maintained optimal self-care practices.
The analysis revealed that age, level of education, anemia, anxiety, social support, and specific beliefs or customs are significantly associated with self-care behaviors. Specifically, the study noted that age, anxiety, and the presence of limiting beliefs or customs significantly reduce the probability of optimal self-care.
