Pivot Energy funds Chicago solar workforce training program
Pivot Energy, a national renewable‑energy provider founded in 2009, donated $180,000 to support a solar‑workforce initiative in Chicago. Partnering with Illinois‑based non‑profit HIRE360, the company helped launch a 240‑hour Solar Workforce Bootcamp that enrolled ten participants. The program, referred to as the Pivot Program Cohort 1, aims to prepare workers for construction jobs on clean‑energy projects. Pivot Energy operates 64 Illinois solar projects, totaling 213 MW of capacity, and continues to expand its portfolio across the United States while creating local jobs and affordable power.
The training effort reflects Pivot’s broader strategy of enhancing local economies and building a skilled labor pool for the growing solar and energy‑storage sector.
