Toy Story 5 home release dates announced following $1 billion box office success

Disney and Pixar have announced the home release schedule for Toy Story 5, which has already surpassed $1 billion at the global box office. The film will be available for digital purchase or rental starting August 18, 2026, on platforms including Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, and Fandango at Home.

Physical media releases, including DVD, Blu-ray, and 4K Ultra HD, are scheduled for September 22, 2026. Notably, the 4K Blu-ray release will feature a limited-edition SteelBook and will utilize a high-capacity 100GB disc to minimize digital compression.

Bonus content for home releases will include audio commentary, deleted scenes, a gag reel, and various featurettes. Digital purchasers will also have exclusive access to music videos for Taylor Swift’s song, “I Knew It, I Knew You.”

The commercial success of Toy Story 5 has been a primary driver in Disney surpassing $4 billion in global box office revenue for 2026, making it the second studio to reach that milestone this year, following Universal Pictures.
